The Journal of Systems Scalability (JSS) is pleased to announce its inaugural Call for Papers. We invite researchers, practitioners, and industry professionals to submit high-quality, original research articles and case studies for consideration in our first issue.
The JSS provides a dedicated platform for sharing innovative ideas and empirical findings related to the scalability of computer-based systems. Our mission is to advance the understanding of scalable system design, architecture, and performance across diverse domains, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and promoting best practices for developing and deploying scalable solutions in complex and evolving environments.
Aims and Scope
The journal welcomes contributions that explore a wide range of topics related to systems scalability, from both theoretical advancements and practical applications. We encourage submissions that address real-world problems and propose innovative, scalable solutions.
Topics of Interest
The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:
· Scalable Architectures: Design principles and best practices for creating scalable system architectures.
· Performance Evaluation and Engineering: Techniques for measuring, analyzing, and enhancing the performance of scalable systems, including load balancing, resource allocation, and caching strategies.
· Microservices and Containerization: Scalability issues related to microservice architecture and container orchestration for deploying and managing applications at scale.
· Cloud-native Technologies: Research on building and scaling cloud-native applications, including serverless computing, function-as-a-service, and cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
· Virtualization and Resource Management: Innovations in virtualization technologies, including VM performance optimization, containerization strategies, and dynamic resource management.
· High-Performance Computing: Scalability in high-performance computing (HPC) environments, including parallel computing frameworks and workload distribution.
· Scalability in AI and Machine Learning: Investigations into how machine learning models and AI systems can be designed to scale efficiently.
· Real Application Domains: Illustrative case studies demonstrating scalability challenges and solutions in any industrial or commercial sector.
· Emerging Technologies: Insights into how emerging technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning, quantum computing) impact scalability.
· Sustainability and Scalability: Investigations into the sustainability aspects of scalability, particularly energy efficiency and the environmental impact of scalable solutions.
· Monitoring of Scalable Systems: Techniques and tools for monitoring performance and scalability in production environments, including analytics and visualization.
· Scalability Challenges: Identification and analysis of current and future challenges facing scalable systems, along with proposed methodologies and solutions.
We look forward to receiving your submissions that contribute to the ongoing advancement of the field BEFORE 22 December 2025.
In particular, for Editorial Members, we also would appreciate submissions in any of the following formats, all within 2–5 pages (except REPORTS, which can be up to 10 pages):
EDITORIAL (2–5 pages)
NEWS & BUZZ (2–5 pages)
COMMENTARY (2–5 pages)
LETTER (2–5 pages)
PERSPECTIVE (2–5 pages)
REPORT (2–10 pages)
