Aims & Scope

Reservoir Science is dedicated to advancing the field of geological reservoirs by publishing high-quality peer-reviewed papers. The journal aims to explore and present innovative interdisciplinary research, integrating geological engineering, petroleum engineering, environmental engineering, materials science, computer science, mathematics and other related disciplines. It focuses on the physicochemical properties, energy conversion and efficient extraction of various energy forms in geological reservoirs, and also covers environmental issues and energy storage issues inside reservoirs. Journal of Reservoir Science and Engineering has contributed to the advancement of energy extraction, geological energy storage and reservoir environmental protection in geological reservoirs. It provides a platform for researchers and practitioners to promote new ideas, methods and technologies in geological reservoirs for energy extraction, energy storage and environmental protection.

The journal publishes original research papers, short communications and comprehensive review articles in all fields related to geological reservoirs, including but not limited to the following topics:

Geological transformation of energy reservoirs

Reservoir modeling and numerical simulation for reservoir engineering

Reservoir rock mechanics and geological engineering

Reservoir geothermal resource extraction technology

Reservoir storage of energy

Environmental reservoir engineering

Reservoir damage and protection

Reservoir fluid engineering.
