Innovation by Constraint: The Unintended Effects of Korean Videogame Governance
Journal of Social Systems and Policy Analysis | Volume 3, Issue 2: 100-108, 2026 | DOI: 10.62762/JSSPA.2025.735971
Abstract
South Korea's ascent as a video game titan is not a simple narrative of state-led industrial success. This paper analyzes the dualistic nature of the Korean government's game policy, from the post-financial crisis ``informatization'' drive and the foundational Game Industry Promotion Act, to restrictive regulations such as the ``Shutdown Law'' and debates on game addiction. The core argument is that this paradoxical policy environment—simultaneously fostering innovation while imposing social controls—created unique evolutionary pressure. This pressure inadvertently accelerated the industry's pivot to mobile platforms, refined hyper-competitive monetization models, and drove an aggressive... More >

Preventing Harassment and Ensuring Fairness in College Examinations: An Evidence-Based Case Study of Arbitrary Administrative Practices
Journal of Social Systems and Policy Analysis | Volume 3, Issue 2: 92-99, 2026 | DOI: 10.62762/JSSPA.2026.581783
Abstract
Examination environments across Pakistan's university-affiliated college sector are designed to uphold fairness, integrity, and student dignity. However, systemic gaps in invigilation governance including absent standardized procedures, limited invigilator training, and inadequate accountability mechanisms allow arbitrary administrative practices to persist unchecked, harming student performance and psychological well-being. This mixed-methods study investigates repeated, unjustified search practices and documentation checks during formal examinations, documenting their ethical and procedural implications within Pakistan's broader examination governance framework. Data were gathered through... More >

Research on the Impact of the Digital Economy on the Silver-Haired Population: A Multidimensional Empirical Analysis and Policy Implications
Journal of Social Systems and Policy Analysis | Volume 3, Issue 2: 83-91, 2026 | DOI: 10.62762/JSSPA.2025.298204
Abstract
As the global population structure aged more rapidly and the digital technology revolution became deeply integrated, the interaction between the elderly and the digital economy turned into a cutting - edge area in academic research and practical exploration; based on the panel data regarding the digital behavior of China's elderly from 2023 to 2025, this study constructed two - way fixed - effects models and structural equation models (SEM) to empirically investigate how the digital economy influenced the consumption behavior, social participation, and well - being of the elderly; the results showed that the internet penetration rate among the elderly had reached 52.5% but was still about 30... Research on the Design of Macau Tourism Cultural and Creative Products under the Perspective of Narratology
Journal of Social Systems and Policy Analysis | Volume 3, Issue 2: 69-82, 2026 | DOI: 10.62762/JSSPA.2025.561440
Abstract
Macao, as a critical tourist destination at the junction of Chinese and Western civilisations, showcases the opportunity to feature its regional culture via culture-based tourism products, and tourism marketing presents further opportunities for cross-cultural connection. That said, there is significant thematic homogenisation, superficial and uninspired narratives, and a lack of user experience variation and engagement with the cultural products. This study employs the discipline of Narratology and analyses how narrative frameworks can be redesigned in cultural product development. This study proposes an eight constituent dimension framework: Narrative Theme, Plot Narrative, Character/IP Na... More >

Green Finance and Low-Carbon Economic Development: Moderating Roles of Green Technology Innovation and Government Intervention in China
Journal of Social Systems and Policy Analysis | Volume 3, Issue 2: 55-68, 2026 | DOI: 10.62762/JSSPA.2026.563767
Abstract
Using balanced panel data for 30 Chinese provinces from 2005 to 2022, this study investigates the impact of green finance (GF) on low-carbon economic development (LCE), with particular attention to the moderating roles of green technology innovation (GTI) and government intervention intensity (GII). A two-way fixed effects model is employed to control for regional heterogeneity and time effects. The results show that GF significantly promotes LCE. Moreover, GTI strengthens the positive effect of GF on LCE, whereas GII weakens this relationship, indicating that excessive government intervention may reduce the effectiveness of GF in supporting low-carbon development. These findings remain robu... More >
