Journal of Social Systems and Policy Analysis | Volume 2, Issue 4: 215-228, 2025 | DOI: 10.62762/JSSPA.2025.114938
Abstract
Based on panel data of 31 provinces in China, this paper explores the impact mechanism of energy investment on regional growth potential, using HP filtering method, XGBoost regression model, panel data preprocessing techniques, and chain mediating effect test . The results show that there are structural differences in the impact of energy investment: investment in the gas production and supply industry has the largest negative impact, while investments in oil and gas extraction and power supply have positive impacts, and the impacts of coal mining and washing, petroleum processing and coking industries are relatively weak. Inflation targeting has become a cornerstone framework for contemporary monetary policy governance, yet its effectiveness varies significantly across countries. This study employs panel data from five countries—New Zealand, Canada, South Korea, Poland, and South Africa—over the period 2010 to 2020 to empirically examine the impact mechanisms of central bank independence and policy transparency on inflation dynamics. The findings indicate that institutional independence of central banks significantly contributes to curbing inflation levels, enhancing policy credibility and implementation stability. Meanwhile, policy transparency effectively reduces inflation volatility by stabilizing publ... More >

Journal of Social Systems and Policy Analysis | Volume 2, Issue 4: 181-191, 2025 | DOI: 10.62762/JSSPA.2025.339099
Abstract
In view of the increasing incidence of minor offenses committed by adults, the proper management of adult criminal records has become a pivotal issue in the reform of China's criminal justice system. This paper undertakes a theoretical inquiry into the normative foundations for establishing a record sealing system for adult minor offenses, drawing upon the theory of social defense, the concept of human rights protection, and the principle of penal minimalism. Through a comparative analysis of the legal frameworks in countries such as the United States, Germany, and Japan, the study identifies valuable insights regarding the scope of record sealing, procedural safeguards, and mechanisms for t...
