Classroom Teacher as Researcher through Writing Action Research: A View from Public School Teachers
Frontiers in Educational Innovation and Research | Volume 2, Issue 2: 53-57, 2026 | DOI: 10.62762/FEIR.2026.721053
Abstract
Research is essential to addressing the current education crisis, as it supports the development, assessment, and enhancement of educational practices. Nevertheless, carrying out action research has become one of the most challenging tasks for most teachers because it has increased their workload, and the purpose of this study was to identify the challenges encountered by teachers in their pursuit of writing action research. This study was at Tagoloan Central School in the Division of Misamis Oriental, Philippines. It used a qualitative methodology with a phenomenological research design and included twenty-one participants selected through purposive sampling. The data were collected using... More >

Construction of a Practical Teaching System for Smart Logistics Course Integrating Operations Research and Intelligent Decision-Making
Frontiers in Educational Innovation and Research | Volume 2, Issue 2: 40-52, 2026 | DOI: 10.62762/FEIR.2026.220598
Abstract
To address the current issue that the smart logistics course focuses heavily on hardware introduction while lacking practical training in operations research optimization and intelligent decision-making, this paper constructs a practical teaching system that integrates operations research and intelligent decision-making. Guided by industry demands such as the low-altitude economy, last-mile delivery, and automated warehousing, a three-tier progressive practical module "Basic, Comprehensive and Innovative" is designed. The system adopts project-based learning (PBL) and is organized in three stages: "Scenario Modeling, Code Implementation and Solution Decision-Making". A diversified process-ba... More >

Teaching Practice of Ideological and Political Education in Curriculums of Artificial Intelligence Major
Frontiers in Educational Innovation and Research | Volume 2, Issue 2: 33-39, 2026 | DOI: 10.62762/FEIR.2026.254272
Abstract
This paper focuses on the ideological and political education in artificial intelligence (AI) specialized courses. A fusion model characterized by knowledge height (disciplinary expertise), knowledge temperature (value orientation) and knowledge length (holistic education) is constructed, emphasizing the organic unity of knowledge transmission and value cultivation. Firstly, through cross-team collaboration, a tripartite educational team comprising disciplinary instructors, ideological and political educators, and student counselors is established, alongside a collective lesson-planning mechanism. Secondly, via pedagogical integration, the objective of socialist core values is operationalize... More >

Design and Practice of New Engineering Innovation Education for Automation Majors
Frontiers in Educational Innovation and Research | Volume 2, Issue 1: 20-32, 2026 | DOI: 10.62762/FEIR.2025.700195
Abstract
This paper focuses on the needs of automation professional talent cultivation in the context of the construction of new engineering disciplines, and takes the course “Freshman Engineering Experience” as the research object, and carries out a systematic exploration of teaching reform in response to the problems of insufficient professional cognition and disconnection between theory and practice that exist in the current engineering education. By restructuring the curriculum system, innovating teaching methods and optimizing the practice platform, a progressive cultivation mode of “Cognition-Practice-Innovation” has been constructed. In curriculum design, the combination of professiona... More >

Research Evolution and Thinking of Traditional Chinese Medicine Vocational Education Based on Knowledge Graph
Frontiers in Educational Innovation and Research | Volume 2, Issue 1: 8-19, 2026 | DOI: 10.62762/FEIR.2025.734785
Abstract
Objective: Through bibliometrics and knowledge graph visualization, this paper systematically analyzes the evolution and trends of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) vocational education research. Methods: Literature was retrieved from CNKI, Wanfang, and VIP databases from inception to October 2025, using search terms including “traditional Chinese medicine,” “TCM theory,” “vocational education,” “vocational training,” and “skills education.” Visual analysis was performed using VOSviewer and the Bibliometrix R package. Results: Annual publications showed phased growth, peaking at 41 in 2022. Core author analysis identified Feng Xiao and Niu Yanhui as the most prolific aut... More >

A Preliminary Study on the Teaching Reform of Course Case Database
Frontiers in Educational Innovation and Research | Volume 2, Issue 1: 1-7, 2026 | DOI: 10.62762/FEIR.2026.874830
Abstract
To address the core challenges identified in the course "New Technologies in Water Technology and Engineering"—specifically, the abstract nature of theoretical knowledge, limited relevance of existing case studies, and inadequate development of practical competencies—a customized teaching case library was developed. This initiative followed a structured four-stage methodology: knowledge decomposition, case selection, adaptive design, and solution coordination. Encompassing eight major emerging technology domains, the case library was constructed under three guiding principles: strict alignment with curricular objectives, sustained technological focus, and progressive skill advancement. Case Library Teaching Research on the Integration of Ideological and Political Education and Digitalization
Frontiers in Educational Innovation and Research | Volume 1, Issue 3: 110-115, 2025 | DOI: 10.62762/FEIR.2025.461424
Abstract
Engineering ethics holds a crucial position in the cultivation of new engineering talents, as it fosters essential values of integrity, responsibility, and sustainability that guide their professional conduct and decision-making processes throughout their careers. In response to persistent challenges within contemporary curricula, such as the inadequate integration of ideological and political education elements and the being outdated of teaching models, this research strategically employs landmark national infrastructure projects, namely, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, as comprehensive case studies. It delves deeply into the ideological and political dimens... More >

Reconstruction of Data Structures Course Teaching Model for Smart Agriculture Talent Cultivation: Integrated Practice of Value Shaping and Capability Development
Frontiers in Educational Innovation and Research | Volume 1, Issue 3: 100-109, 2025 | DOI: 10.62762/FEIR.2025.323427
Abstract
In response to the current imbalance phenomenon of "emphasizing skills while neglecting values" in programming practice teaching oriented toward smart agriculture, this study employs the Data Structures course as a vehicle. It applies Checkland's Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) to construct a three-dimensional integrated teaching objective system of "knowledge transfer–capability cultivation–value shaping." Through systematic reconstruction of seven teaching modules centered on linear lists, trees, graphs, sorting, and searching, the teaching objectives are transformed from mere knowledge acquisition to an organic integration of knowledge, capability, and value objectives. In the value di... More >
